I have had a long time interest in the human mind and I firmly believe in the mind body connection. I believe that we all have natural resources to alter the course of our lives and to change our lives for the better. I know this from experience.
I have always thought of myself as a fairly easy going person or at least that was the image I liked to portray to myself and to everyone else, so it was quite a surprise to me in 2010 when I became depressed. My life wasn’t going in the direction I had hoped, I was critical of myself, and I bottled things up. Everything that happened in my life seemed to reinforce my beliefs about myself. I believed that nothing I did was good enough, and I reasoned that neither was I as a result. I spent so much time in my head thinking and it was my thinking that was the problem.
During my depression I buried my head into self-help books, although I never quite found the answer I had been looking for. Most self-help books point towards what you need to do, but hardly ever mention that you already have all the resources you need to be who you want to be, and the person you really are.
It wasn’t until I discovered Hypnosis that things started to change and I started to take control of my thinking. Don’t under estimate the power of your thoughts, what you think about yourself and life dictates the quality of your life. Thankfully you can change your thinking, and it doesn’t need to be difficult and it can be quick.
As my interest in this field grew, I went on to do an NLP practitioner course, and also started training in hypnosis. I went on to achieve a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy form the Manchester College of Coaching and Hypnotherapy. I then decided that I wanted to make hypnotherapy my career and to help other people overcome their sticking points, and since then it has been a wonderful journey and very rewarding to help other people.
I am now happy just being me.
